Admissions and Requirements

To be accepted to this program, you must have:

  1. A bachelor's degree

  2. Previous work experience

    Current résumé highlighting relevant education, work and other experiences

  3. Taken the GRE or GMAT
  4. Taken the TOEFL

    (Only required if English is not your native language)

  5. A written personal statement

    Academic statement of purpose (maximum of two pages, double-spaced) describing your career goals and objectives and explaining why you believe our master’s program in marketing research will help you achieve those goals and objectives

  6. 2 letters of recommendation

    One or two letters of recommendation from professional or academic references (optional, but can strengthen your application)

  7. Official transcripts from all previous schools

To apply to this program:

  1. Complete an online application.
  2. If you are an international applicant, submit your English language proficiency test scores.
  3. If you are a working professional with significant and/or relevant experience, you may be eligible to waive the GMAT/GRE requirement. If you received a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA for your bachelor’s degree at MSU (or comparable university), the test requirement is automatically waived, and you may apply without a test score.
