As Director, Liz is dedicated to supporting students and the diverse goals, needs, and backgrounds they bring to the Master of Arts in Educational Technology (MAET), Master of Arts in Learning Experience Design (MALXD), and Master of Arts in Education (MAED) programs. She has been teaching for MAET since 2013.
Built on a strong foundation of the psychological theories of learning, the Master of Arts in Educational Technology (MAET) program develops innovative, educational leaders who seek to transform teaching and learning. Graduates will be able to utilize technologies to support teaching and learning in a range of educational environments, and also develop deep understandings of how, when, and why to integrate technology to support learning processes. The MAET program is offered fully online and learners have the opportunity to also participate in an Education Abroad experience to complete some of their courses face-to-face. MAET’s courses are award-winning and have been recognized by MSU's AT&T Awards for best practices in the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning.
We teach students how to think deeply about technology and to put that thought into practice. Students will discover how to think critically about learning, and establish practices to integrate current and future technologies into their profession.
In the MAET program, students:
Our students are primarily teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals at all stages of their professional careers. The MAET degree prepares students to be thought leaders in their professional contexts. Graduates of the MAET degree become confident, capable users of a wide range of technologies in educational settings and also develop deep theoretical understandings of how, when and why to integrate technologies to support learning processes.
