The Master of Arts in K-12 Educational Administration is designed for school leaders as well as teacher leaders interested in the practice of leadership and administration. The program is approved by the Michigan State Board of Education to certify graduates for the School Administrator Certificate and both elementary and secondary endorsements. You will take courses related to leadership, inquiry, data use, continuous school improvement, social justice and equity, professional community, and school-family relationships. The program culminates with a field-based school leadership internship.
The master's program in K-12 Educational Administration is the entry-level graduate degree for aspiring educational administrators in K-12 schools. The program consists of a minimum of 30 semester credits. Students who completed a teaching internship as part of their Bachelor of Arts program at MSU can apply up to six 800-level credits to the elective requirement.

This graduate certificate will build your knowledge of computer science and support you in teaching CS ideas at the elementary and secondary levels. You'll go beyond simply coding and will explore how computer science impacts our world as well as how CS ideas can be used to solve problems creatively in other disciplines.
Madeline Mavrogordato is an associate professor of K-12 educational administration. She utilizes quantitative and qualitative methods to investigate how education policies shape outcomes for underserved student populations, particularly immigrants and English learners. In addition, she studies how to develop and support effective school leaders who are prepared to serve students from diverse backgrounds in today’s climate of high stakes accountability and evaluation. Her work is informed by her experience serving as a bilingual teacher in Texas and California. Mavrogordato’s work has appeared in a range of publications including Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, Educational Administration Quarterly, and Educational Policy. She currently serves as an associate editor for the American Educational Research Journal. Follow her @MaddyMavro.
