Dr. Amy Radford-Popp serves as the Graduate Director and Faculty Advisor for the MS Packaging Leadership Graduate Program at Michigan State University. In this role, she oversees the graduate student experience, ensuring academic excellence and integrity. With a strong background in educational leadership and over 30 years of experience in higher education at multiple institutions, she guides curriculum development and supports student success across all Packaging graduate programs.
Dr. Radford-Popp also serves as a liaison with other academic departments across MSU, reflecting the interdisciplinary emphasis of the Packaging Leadership program. As an inclusive leader and advocate, she prioritizes creating a culture of inclusion, belonging, wellness, and respect.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and can often be found appreciating the beautiful surroundings of MSU’s campus grounds and gardens.
The MSU Master of Science in Packaging Leadership for Professionals is a fully online asynchronous, course-intensive graduate program designed for career professionals seeking to elevate their leadership in the packaging industry. Offered as an interdisciplinary collaboration with MSU’s Broad College of Business, the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, Food Safety Program, and other disciplines throughout the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, this program uniquely blends technical packaging expertise with strategic leadership, sustainability, and business acumen.
Students choose from four specialized tracks—Business Leadership, Supply Chain Strategy, Sustainable Solutions, and Packaging Design —allowing students to tailor their education to their career goals. With flexible scheduling and real-world applications, this program empowers professionals to lead innovation and drive change in global packaging systems.
Graduates will gain strategic leadership skills, advanced packaging knowledge, and interdisciplinary competencies in a choice of concentration areas including business leadership, sustainable solutions, packaging design, and supply chain management. The program emphasizes real-time application of learning, cross-functional collaboration, and global problem-solving. Students will complete a capstone applied learning project aligned with industry challenges, and build a robust professional network through interactive and reflective learning experiences.
This degree positions graduates for advancement into leadership roles across the packaging industry. Alumni are equipped to lead teams, integrate global trends and regulations, and implement sustainable solutions. Many experience increased earning potential, relocation opportunities, and enhanced recognition within their organizations. Students choose a minimum of 10 credits from a variety of elective track options including: business, supply chain management, sustainable solutions, or packaging design.
